I joined as a short-term contractor to harden security across aged-care and home-care platforms. I identified vulnerabilities and patched critical issues before they could impact clients.My contract was extended multiple times to assist in shipping new features and API endpoints that tied core products together with 3rd party services to assist customer data flow.Digging into root causes of recurring bugs so the team could fix them properly instead of just band-aid solutions.I also automated testing workflows with Python to keep things running smoothly and provide confidence to the team.

I built a platform that successfully served half a million users and sent ten million notifications every month. Starting out as a sole software engineer, I continued to develop and maintain the platform as the company grew into a small team. Along the way, I created numerous bespoke applications and features across the platform to support our rapidly growing customer base.To tie all of our internal products and services together, as well as achieve consistent workflows across a number of 3rd party software platforms, I developed front and backend services, microservices, APIs, serverless event handlers, and more using PHP, Python, Node.js and React across many cloud services with AWS.Additionally, I built native mobile apps for iOS and Android with custom authentication and authorisation that earned high app store ratings.I also automated CI/CD pipelines, customer-facing workflows and backoffice functionality.AWS was the main cloud provider for this platform, and I was responsible for the cloud architecture scaling, optimising for performance, reliability, security, and cost while maintaining high availability and ISO 27001 certification.

Delivering custom software that helped businesses run more efficiently and profitably.At Unlimited FX, I designed and implemented complex systems including CRM and e-commerce platforms with payment integrations using PHP, ASP, ASP.Net, MySQL, and MSSQL. For Cash's, I developed a B2B ERP processing over fifty million dollars in transactions annually, helping them manage their business operations more efficiently. Golden Chain Hotels got a custom CRM improving client engagement and support. Carpet Choice, now Choices Flooring, received a bespoke insurance management system that made their business run smoother. Forty Winks had a proprietary intranet CMS managing e-commerce operations and advertising distribution.At Design Central, I developed database-driven web applications optimised for reliability and performance, working closely with designers and project managers to align functionality with user experience goals.As a self-employed IT consultant, I provided hardware and software support, data recovery, and custom web development for small businesses.
